To invent cinema, you had to be able to create moving images. During the 19th century, research in optics gradually made this possible, producing in passing a multitude of toys with strange names. The first, which does not yet create movement, is the thaumatrope. Come and make a thaumatrope, one of the ancestors of cinema. Thaumatrope is a word of Greek origin which means: "miracle wheel". It is a disc with a different design on each side. By rotating it quickly the two drawings overlap creating an illusion of movement. Time of activity: about 15 min
