Big(Great) Saline of Salins-les-Bains is a centre of from the Franche-Comté industrial Heritage, since witness(baton) of 1 200 years of production and of history(story) of the salt, the White Gold, which made the fortune of the city and of the region. The underground gallery of the XIIIth century shelters a hydraulic pump of the XIXth century, still in functioning at present.
