The Courbet museum, in Ornans proposes a route(course) in the permanent collection evoking, from Ornans to Paris, career(quarry) of Gustave Courbet, aesthetic break that it led so that the artistic circles which it frequented, its political commitment up to its banishment and its death in Swiss(Switzerland). The permanent collection has just been enriched by the acquisition of the "Oak of Flagey" further to the will of the General Council and thanks to a successful national subscription. Since February, 2013, the museum receives 10 works of Courbet, in particular "The farmers of Flagey returning of fair", these paintings(boards) are confided(entrusted) by the museum of the Fine Arts of Besançon currently in works of restoration(catering).
