Pioneers of the photography in modern image
The ambition of the museum Nicéphore Niépce is to explain the springs(competences) of the photography since its invention by Niépce up to digital image. Its collections group(include) about three million photographies and objects offering the possibility of a route(course) always renewed in the course of visits. The use of interactive devices(plans), technologies of image, allows to go farther to the understanding of photographic world.
The museum is conceived(designed) as an initiatory route(course) around the main principles of the photography. The professional editions(drawings) are next(go alongside) to tests(events) amateurs there. Press and illustrated edition(publishing) like it an important place(square) as essential supports(media) in the planetary distribution(broadcasting) of the medium.
Centre section of collections: the Chamber(Room) of the Discovery, first camera in the world used by Nicéphore Niépce, inventor to which a room is dedicated.
To discover in the route(course): daguerreotypes, first photographic portraits, the calotype or the invention of the photography on paper, the appearance of the photography on time of pose(installation) immediate which upsets representations, relief photography, invention of the colour photo.
