The rectitude of a composition of lines, the perfection of a coloured aplat, the gushing out of materials(subjects) or the subtle effects of transparency: be allowed entice by the games(sets) of abstraction. In the wake of the artistic revolutions of the beginning of the 20th century, number of artists ventures into this world where the playing bit parts disappears little by little. Signs clink, colours vibrate, forms explode, emotions mix, oppose, are born and disappear. Random(Unpredictable) principles of François Morellet were guided by the number Pi in the gestural violence of grunts Hartung, visit again geometric and lyric abstraction. Across about sixty works existent from collections, collision(hanging) submerges you in this universe sensitive to borders of the invisible.

At the heart of the city of Montbéliard, the castle raises itself(draws itself up) on a rocky spur which dominates the confluence of Lizaine and of Allan. This building(ship) is during the four centuries, from 1397 till 1793, the residence of the dukes of Wurtemberg. In 1960, the castle becomes a museum grouping(including) archaeological collections, natural history and Fine Arts. and developing since 1970 a collection of contemporary art. Many temporary exhibitions(exposures) bound(connected) to the different departments of the museum supplement the discovery of this site. The castle shelters the museum which redraws the history(story) of the country of Montbéliard since prehistoric times(weathers) until our days.
