Porträt von einem Künstler jüdisch-polnischen Ursprunges Thomas Gleb (Lódz 1912 zur Welt gekommen - Tod(Toter) Angers 1991). Der Film schildert das Leben eines Mannes(Menschen), der die großen Umwälzungen des europäischen XX. Jahrhunderts überquert hat, besonders im Polen und in Frankreich. Er zeigt, wie dieser Künstler, der fortwährend ist, der verbannt ist, seine eigene Identität hat bilden(gründen) und seinen Platz durch die Kunst und die Treffen finden können. Auf der Suche(Forschung) nach diesem Mann(Menschen) zu gehen, war die Gegenwart auch die Reise von Regisseurin in der Vergangenheit und um das Gesicht einigen Europas zu zeichnen, das, seit Japan sie so eingeatmet und ernährt hat, bevor zu kommen, sich in Frankreich einzurichten(unterzubringen).

Portrait of an artist of Jewish-Polish origin Thomas Gleb (born in Lódz in 1912 – died in Angers 1991). The movie redraws the life of a man who crossed the big(great) upheavals of the European XXth century, in particular in Poland and in France. He(it) shows how this artist, perpetual exile, knew how to establish(constitute) his own identity and find his place through the art and the meetings. To search for this man was also the journey of director in past and the present to draw the face of certain Europe which, since Japan so much inspired her(it) and was nourishing before coming to settle down in France.

Ritratto di un artista di origine ebraico-polacco Thomas Gleb, nato a. ód. in 1912. morto ad Angers1991). Il film descrive la vita di un uomo che ha attraversato i grandi sconvolgimenti del XXe secolo europeo, particolarmente in Polonia ed in Francia. Mostra come questo artista, continuo esiliato, ha saputo costituire la sua propria identità e trovare il suo posto attraverso l'arte e gli incontri. Partire alla ricerca di questo uomo fu anche il viaggio di realizzatrice nel passato ed il presente per disegnare il viso di una certa Europa che, dal Giappone l'ha ispirato tanto e nutrita prima di venire ad installarsi in Francia.

Portrait d’un artiste d’origine juive-polonaise Thomas Gleb (né à Łódź en 1912 – mort à Angers 1991). Le film retrace la vie d’un homme qui a traversé les grands bouleversements du XXe siècle européen, notamment en Pologne et en France. Il montre comment cet artiste, perpétuel exilé, a su constituer sa propre identité et trouver sa place à travers l’art et les rencontres. Partir à la recherche de cet homme fut aussi le voyage de réalisatrice dans le passé et le présent pour dessiner le visage d’une certaine Europe qui, depuis le Japon l’a tant inspirée et nourrie avant de venir s’installer en France.

Retrato de un artista de origen judío-polaco Thomás Gleb (nacido Lódz en 1912 – muerto en Angers 1991). La película vuelve a trazar la vida de un hombre que atravesó los grandes trastornos del siglo XX europeo, particularmente en Polonia y en Francia. Muestra cómo este artista, exilado perpetuo, supo constituir su propia identidad y encontrar su sitio(plaza) a través del arte y los encuentros. Ir detrás de este hombre fue también el viaje de realizadora en el pasado y el obsequio para dibujar la cara de una cierta Europa que, desde Japón lo(la) inspiró tanto y alimentó antes de venir para instalarse en Francia.
