This performance is part of the two weeks of meetings, exchanges and sharing led by the Licra-Geneva around Felwine Sarr's latest book "Traces, discourses aux nations africaines".

"I have conquered the Word. For a long time it was refused to me. (...) I must speak to you, my fellow human beings, because only the word remains".

An exceptional storyteller, Étienne Minoungou stands alone, facing the world with the firm intention of addressing it. He speaks to give substance to the story of the life he lived when he left Africa to return with a message of hope. He embodies the philosophical and poetic thought of Felwine Sarr, who writes this Speech to the African Nations in the manner of a vast odyssey, a metaphorical journey towards a luminous commitment. A look from his continent at himself and at the world in the service of the future of youth. A text propelled as an experience that is built in assembly, in a dialogue and an incessant sharing between the room and the stage. A movement regulated by the powerful breath of the actor and the groovy music of Simon Winsé. A future conquest written in the past as well as the present, in the singular as well as the plural.
