Godefroy Lunel

Godefroy Lunel (1814-1891) was a French zoologist and the first director of Geneva's Natural History Museum in 1878. He wrote a Histoire naturelle des poissons du Léman, richly illustrated by his son Alphonse. During this workshop, librarians from the Natural History Museum will present this magnificent work. Children will be able to discover the 20 most important species of fish in Lake Léman and take home a specimen they have drawn.
Led by Laura Zbinden and Juliette Oulevey, librarians at the Museum, and Céline Barnet, librarian at the Bibliothèque des Eaux-Vives.
