Dom Smaz and Milena Machado went back into the history of Helvecia in search of its colonial past as a challenge to oblivion and the loss of memory. Between the empty museum of the village and the vague memories of its inhabitants, archival documents gradually crept in, but the initial investigation was also fleshed out by the living account of the daily life of the people of Helvecia. It is to this living memory that the visit is dedicated by proposing a meeting with Danilon, Faustinha, Atila and many others.
