Everybody's Perfect

This tour explores and discusses the exhibition "Memories. Geneva in the colonial world" exhibition at the MEG. The idea is to reflect together on the role of the museum and the exhibition in relation to the colonial heritage: which stories are brought to the fore, which are forgotten, and how this affects our vision.
We will also look at the significance of certain exhibits, such as the totem poles, and the way in which the museum, with its unique architecture, influences our perception. Using decolonial, queer and feminist thinking tools, this tour will help us to ask new questions and imagine other possible narratives.

The tour will take place on Tuesday 8th of October at 6:30 pm. It will start in the entrance hall, continue through various areas of the museum and then into the temporary exhibition, where most of the tour will take place.
Nayansaku Mufwankolo, artist-researcher, teacher and lecturer in critical theory and cultural studies, consultant on diversity and inclusion
and
Maria Ejarque, independent researcher and curator with a feminist, queer and decolonial approach.

In collaboration with the Everybody's Perfect festival and Service Agenda 21-Ville durable, in the context of the City of Geneva's LGBTIQ+'s History Month.
The event is free but reservations are mandatory.
