Jean Lignongo and Jean-Didier Ekori are two Kota researchers from Congo. As part of the exhibition, they have imagined a display about the symbolic violence contained in the history of the Kota reliquary guardians in the MEG’s collections. During the colonial era, these guardians were torn from the reliquaries. Jean Lignongo and Jean-Didier Ekori’s intervention tells visitors of the history of these reliquaries and their spiritual importance.
