MAH Genève
This exhibition is the result of a programme to promote French paintings of the 19th century (1800-1918), undertaken in 2020 in collaboration with the University of Geneva. It highlights the evolution of artistic taste and techniques during this period of great change. Highlights include works such as Death of Socrates by François-Xavier Fabre and View of Auvers with Wheatfield by Vincent van Gogh. The exhibition explores every aspect of a heritage project, from building the collection to research questions and the painter's craft.
