A Relax cinema screening with live musical interludes at the heart of the MEG. Auditorium. Thursday 18 decembre at 11am.
RELAX, culture is for everyone. All audiences are welcome. All behaviour, however unexpected, is seen as an expression of feeling. Cultural life is open to everyone.
During these relaxing film screenings, we invite you to watch a series of three animated films that show us the different powers of music.
What is it?
It is a series of three animated films.
An animated film is created from drawings.
These three films all deal with music in one way or another.
These films show that music is very important for humans and for nature.
Music is important all over the world.
The three animated films are:
‘A Guitar at Sea’ by Sophie Roze
A weasel sells ties.
It's a strange job.
She walks through the countryside.
People don't like the weasel.
The weasel goes into the forest.
There, its life changes.
A hedgehog helps the weasel.
‘Bémol’ by Oana Lacroix
A featherless nightingale sings in the forest.
Its song helps a little bear fall asleep.
Its song calms the squirrels' arguments.
Its song amuses two swans swimming on the pond.
One day, a storm hits the forest.
The nightingale has no feathers.
It is cold.
It can no longer sing.
‘Vent de fête’ by Marjolaine Perreten
Early in the morning, in a small village in Switzerland.
There is a square in the centre of the village.
A big celebration is about to begin.
Volunteers are working to prepare for the celebration.
The first musicians arrive.
How long does it last?
The films last 42 minutes. With the introduction, it takes about an hour.
What is the minimum age?
You must be at least 4 years old to see these films.
How much does it cost?
No charge.
How do I book?
You can come without booking.
Everyone is welcome during the relaxed films.
Everyone is for example:
parents with their babies,
elderly people,
people with disabilities,
people who are uncomfortable in closed public places.
How does a Relax outing work?
Before the film:
A person welcomes you and shows you the cinema.
A person gives you information about the film.
You enter the room.
The lights dim a little.
The film starts.
During the film :
The door of the room remains open: So you can enter and leave whenever you want.
The sounds of the show are soft.
All ways of reacting to the show are ok.
For example, you can laugh loudly.
Someone from the museum will be there if you need help.
At the end of the film you can :
Have a drink with your friends.
Talk about the show.
Visit the museum.
