Pollination operation
Pollinators are our allies, yet we feel indifference, a hint of fear and disgust for them. Essential to the proper functioning of ecosystems and our well-being, they bring us invaluable services! Did you know that nearly 90% of flowering plants depend on insect pollination, as do 35% of what we eat? Put aside your prejudices and participate in the “Operation Pollination”.
During the afternoon, harvest the honey that honey bees make with Blackberries have bees and leave with a pot. Put green back into your life and your daily environment with Lestrem Nature by shaping seed bombs with your hands to rehydrate our cities.
With Dessine-moi un museau, discover the different modes of seed dissemination, make your origami pouch and leave with your seeds. Learn to recognize the Syrphes with the animators of the Relais Nature.
A fun afternoon to learn more about pollinating insects and better protect them!
And to close this moment, follow in the footsteps of Vincent Gavériaux, regional naturalist: observe and determine the many moths and other pollinating insects placed on the luminous arbors distributed around the Relais Nature.
