Vincent Montaigne

Music, essentially the art of the unspeakable, has always enjoyed telling stories.
The Hauts-de-France Regional Choir reunites with soprano Alexandra Hewson, tenor Denis Mignien, and the Formica Quartet, to propose a musical rediscovery of the most beautiful tales, legends and myths that enchanted our youth.
The sung pieces for choir and/ or soloists, interspersed with readings, will evoke, in a serious or sometimes parodic way, legendary characters and traditional stories, for the pleasure of young and old.
Program:

  • Purcell, King Arthur, excerpts
  • Gluck, Orpheus and Eurydice, extracts
  • Massenet, Cinderella, extracts
  • Ravel, Ma mère l'Oye: Petit Poucet
  • Menken, Aladdin
As well as some surprise melodies…
