Concert of the Choir Dominique SAVIO
With the extension of Mons-en-Barœul, a new parish was created in 1954, the chapel becoming too small, under the insistence of the abbot SION a second church was designed by the architect Jean WILLLERVAL. This church, in a very modernist style, represents the «tent of the Lord in the desert». It was consecrated by Cardinal Lienart, Bishop of Lille, on March 22, 1964.
On his return from his military service in July 1960, Jean-Pierre DE RIEMAECKER takes over the choir «Jean Bosco» whose number was very small; he recruits young people and creates in September of the same year the choir " Dominique Savio", who animates the Sunday masses of the parish and who will give concerts in France and Europe for humanitarian purposes. She also distinguished herself in the "Golden Angel" competition of Radio Luxembourg.
