Hailing from Philadelphia, the multi-instrumentalist BC Camplight drops anchor in Manchester in 2013. A new beginning a few years after his American debut in 2005 (not far from musicians who will then join The War On Drugs or in connection with Sharon Van Etten). This flight to Manchester will be followed by other round trips and crossings, across the oceans. His titles, composed without academic constraint, concentrate bits of life and slices of life. Each song carries its own intensity specific to condensed creative formats (short films, literary news). Beautiful, sad, funny sometimes. Transparency is music.

Originaire de Philadelphie, le multi-instrumentiste BC Camplight jette l’ancre à Manchester en 2013. Un nouveau départ quelques années après ses débuts états-uniens en 2005 (non loin de musiciens qui rejoindront ensuite The War On Drugs ou en connexion avec Sharon Van Etten). Cet envol vers Manchester sera suivi d’autres allers-retours et traversées, par-delà des océans. Ses titres composés sans contrainte académique concentrent des bouts de chemin et tranches de vie. Chaque chanson porte cette’intensité propres aux formats créatifs condensés (courts-métrages, nouvelles littéraires). Beau, triste, drôle parfois. La transparence faite musique.

Oorspronkelijk uit Philadelphia, de multi-instrumentalist BC Camplight Anker in Manchester in 2013. Een nieuw begin een paar jaar na zijn amerikaanse debuut in 2005 (niet ver van muzikanten die dan meedoen aan de Oorlog tegen drugs of in verband met Sharon van Etten). Deze vlucht naar Manchester wordt gevolgd door andere rondritten en overtochten, over de oceanen. Zijn titels gecomponeerd zonder academische beperkingen concentreren tips van pad en plakjes van het leven. Elk nummer draagt deze intensiteit specifiek voor gecomprimeerde creatieve formaten (korte films, literair nieuws). Mooi, verdrietig, grappig soms. Transparantie maakte muziek.
