A surprising and explosive moment of theatre.
«It was better before! Even if it was worse!». Refrain that these two old ladies could repeat to us all the time! In a world without sugar or gluten, governed by an invisible but omnipresent sanitary brigade, they complain, do not tolerate each other, hate each other with malice... and end up, sitting on their chair, having 'the nostalgia of cockroaches'.
The author, Pierre Notte, goes to the heart of things with acuity and greenness, humor and sensitivity. Never before in the theatre, we have approached with so much freedom the relationship of a society with its aging. Everything is there, the physical shipwrecks of old age, illness, nostalgia, the tsunami of emotions, the breakdown of social or family ties.
But he reminds us that it is never too late: "Life always finds a way out."

Un moment de théâtre étonnant et détonant.
« C’était mieux avant ! Même si c’était pire! ». Refrain que ces deux vieilles pourraient nous répéter à longueur de temps ! Dans un monde sans sucre ni gluten, régenté par une brigade sanitaire invisible mais omni présente, elles se plaignent, ne se supportent pas, se haïssent avec méchanceté… et finissent, assises sur leur chaise, par avoir « la nostalgie des blattes ».
L’auteur Pierre Notte, va au fond des choses avec acuité et verdeur, humour et sensibilité. Jamais au théâtre, on a abordé avec autant de liberté le rapport d’une société avec son vieillissement. Tout y est, les naufrages physiques du grand âge, la maladie, la nostalgie, le tsunami des émotions, la déliquescence des liens sociaux ou familiaux.
Mais il nous rappelle qu’il n’est jamais trop tard : « La vie trouve toujours une sortie ».

Een verrassend en explosief moment van theater.
«Het was eerder beter! Zelfs al was het erger!». Onthoud dat deze twee oude dames ons de hele tijd kunnen herhalen! In een wereld zonder suiker of gluten, geregeerd door een onzichtbare maar alomtegenwoordige sanitaire brigade, klagen ze, tolereren elkaar niet, haten elkaar met kwaadaardigheid... en uiteindelijk, zittend op hun stoel, met 'de nostalgie van kakkerlakken'.
De auteur, Pierre Notte, gaat naar het hart van de dingen met scherpzinnigheid en groenheid, humor en gevoeligheid. Nog nooit eerder in het theater hebben we met zoveel vrijheid de relatie van een samenleving met haar veroudering benaderd. Alles is er, de fysieke scheepswrakken van ouderdom, ziekte, nostalgie, tsunami van emoties, het afbreken van sociale of familiebanden.
Maar hij herinnert ons eraan dat het nooit te laat is: "Het leven vindt altijd een uitweg."
