Portrait de Jean Capodistrias revu par Boris Baruchet

On the occasion of the bicentennial of Greece’s declaration of independence signed on March 25, 1821, the Hardt Foundation for the Study of Classical Antiquity and the MAH are commemorating the friendship that has united Greece and Geneva since the early 19th century. The Greek Jean Capodistrias and two Genevans, Charles Pictet de Rochemont and Jean-Gabriel Eynard played a key role in integrating Geneva into the Swiss Confederation and in liberating Greece from the Ottoman Empire.
