Das Centre Charles-Péguy und das Frac Centre Val de Loire kreuzen ihre Sammlungen, um die Begriffe des sozialen Wohnens und der architektonischen Utopie zu erforschen. Schriftsteller, Philosophen, große Industriellen oder Arbeiter, Architekten oder Philanthropen: Viele dieser Männer versuchten im 19. Jahrhundert, eine «ideale Stadt» zu denken, zu entwerfen, zu bauen und darin zu wohnen. Gemeinschaftliche Wohnanlagen, die gemeinsam mit ihren Bewohnern gebaut wurden, werden im 20. Jahrhundert fortgeführt und in Frankreich und im Ausland beispielhaft gezeigt. Die Ausstellung wird eine Sammlung von Archiven, Werken, Plänen und Zeichnungen aus den Sammlungen der Médiathèque d'Orléans, des Centre Charles-Péguy, des Fonds régional d'Art Contemporain und anderer Partnerinstitutionen zeigen.

The Centre Charles-Péguy and the Frac Centre-Val de Loire, cross their collections to explore notions of social habitat and architectural utopia. Writers, philosophers, great industrialists or workers, architects or philanthropists, many are those men who in the 19th century try to think, draw, build and inhabit an "ideal city". Collective habitats co-built with their residents will continue in the 20th century with examples in France and abroad. The exhibition will present a set of archives, works, plans and drawings from the heritage collections of the Médiathèque d'Orléans, the Centre Charles-Péguy, the Fonds Régional d'Art Contemporain and other partner institutions.

El Centre Charles-Péguy y el Frac Centre-Val de Loire, cruzan sus colecciones para explorar las nociones de hábitat social y utopía arquitectónica. Escritores, filósofos, grandes industriales o obreros, arquitectos o filántropos, son muchos estos hombres que en el siglo XIX intentan pensar, dibujar, construir y habitar una «ciudad ideal». Los hábitats colectivos co-construidos con sus residentes continuarán en el siglo XX con ejemplos en Francia y en el extranjero. La exposición presentará un conjunto de archivos, obras, planos y dibujos, procedentes de las colecciones patrimoniales de la Médiathèque d'Orléans, del Centre Charles-Péguy, del Fondo Regional de Arte Contemporáneo y de otras instituciones asociadas.
