The exhibition Slavery, mémoires normandes presented at the museum of the Hôtel Dubocage in Bléville, from May 10 to November 10, 2023 shows the journey of individuals who, from the African continent to the quays of Le Havre, from the 16th to the 19th centuries, were involved or involved in the transatlantic trade. The motivations, challenges, mechanisms and human consequences of this economic system are developed through the city’s heritage collections and national loans. The city of Honfleur and Rouen are teaming up to bring this common history to light.
