Workshops children family and adults from 19h to 22h30 en continu Come write in runes The Scandinavians spoke Old Norse, a language of Germanic origin. Used by the peoples of northern Europe until around 1300, it was written using an alphabet composed of signs called runes. This runic writing was angular and formed of sticks, because it was more suitable for stone, wood or bone engraving. The runic alphabet is called the futhark, named after the first 6 letters of this system which includes 24. Each character notes a sound.
