ROUEN LANDSCAPE AND GEOLOGY: springs, fountains and belvederes

NO/SE Impacts of the Rouen Fault

From the viewpoint of Mont-Saint-Aignan, this transdisciplinary walk seeks, through landscape and geology, to evoke an imaginary located in the Rouen Normandy Metropolis. Dive, with full knowledge of the facts and map in hand, on the steep side of the chalk cliff towards the ancient springs and fountains of Rouen from the 15th to the 20th century. Sources of Yonville and Gaalor; Gallo-Roman fountains of the 3rd century, Saint-Cande Le Jeune, Gros-Horloge, La Crosse, Croix Saint-Pierre, Saint-Marie fountain ... What role did geology play in the presence of springs and the installation of the city of Rouen? Climb the Côte Sainte-Catherine, belvedere over the city and views of the meander of the Seine and the Robec valley. A sensitive and precise approach, cultural and scientific, to live and enhance the morphology and geology, intensify the metropolitan territory and promote it in landscape.
In the context of climate change, our walk will propose a journey through time to 2080. What are the stakes and consequences for the Metropolis? Everyone will be able to express their experience on a postcard dedicated, in a friendly way, by picnicking between earth and sky, under the sun exactly.
