"Prayer to touch, art and matter" is an invitation to contemplate the work of art through touch. By reversing the codes and instructions of the traditional visit to the museum, this exhibition tells a story of Western sculpture from Antiquity to modern art. Its theme is human figuration, the discovery of which is proposed through reproductions of tactile works. Techniques, materials, subjects, the work of art reveals itself differently and awakens our senses.
This sensory experience is the reflection of a collective and itinerant approach in six French regional museums (Montpellier, Lyon, Rouen, Lille, Bordeaux and Nantes) members of the FRAME network (FRench American Museum Exchange).

"Prière de toucher, l'art et la matière" est une invitation à contempler l’oeuvre d’art par le toucher. En renversant les codes et les consignes de la visite traditionnelle du musée, cette exposition raconte une histoire de la sculpture occidentale de l’Antiquité à l’Art moderne. Elle a pour thème la figuration humaine dont la découverte est proposée grâce à des reproductions d’oeuvres tactiles. Techniques, matières, sujets, l’oeuvre d’art se révèle autrement et met en éveil nos sens.
Cette expérience sensorielle est le reflet d’une démarche collective et itinérante dans six musées régionaux français (Montpellier, Lyon, Rouen, Lille, Bordeaux et Nantes) membres du réseau FRAME (FRench American Museum Exchange).

"Gebed om aan te raken, kunst en materie" is een uitnodiging om het kunstwerk door aanraking te overwegen. Door de codes en instructies van het traditionele bezoek aan het museum om te keren, vertelt deze tentoonstelling een verhaal over westerse sculpturen van de oudheid tot de moderne kunst Het thema is menselijke figuratie, waarvan de ontdekking wordt voorgesteld door reproducties van tactiele werken. Technieken, materialen, onderwerpen, het kunstwerk onthult zich anders en wekt onze zintuigen op.
Deze zintuiglijke ervaring is de weerspiegeling van een collectieve en rondreizende aanpak in zes Franse regionale musea (Montpellier, Lyon, Rouen, Lille, Bordeaux en Nantes) die lid zijn van het netwerk van HET FRAME (Frans-Amerikaanse Museum Exchange).
