Emad, a farmer, lives in Bil'in in the West Bank. Five years ago, in the middle of the village, Israel erected a "separation wall" that expropriated the 1,700 inhabitants of half their land to "protect" the Jewish settlement of Modi'in Illit, planned for 150,000 residents. The villagers of Bil'in are therefore engaged in a non-violent struggle to obtain the right to remain owners of their land, and to co-exist peacefully with the Israelis. From the beginning of this conflict, and for five years, Emad filmed the actions undertaken by the inhabitants of Bil'in. With his camera, purchased when his fourth child was born, he chronicles the life of a village in turmoil, portraying his family and friends as they are affected by this endless conflict.
