Unique site in Europe, the Blue Mine offers you an unusual adventure 126m underground!
In the heart of the former mining site, the guided tour of the galleries and extraction rooms invites you to a true journey into the past. Step by step, you will discover the origin of slate, its exploitation techniques and, more broadly, the life of these men who extracted and raised the blue stone at the beginning of the 20th century.
On the surface, in the continuity of the visit, you will discover the major steps of making a slate according to the methods of the past. Cutting, querner, splitting and rounding, are all words with which you will be able to familiarize yourself, demonstration to support.
The Blue Mine is open from Easter to All Saints' Day. Find all our schedules on our website [www.laminebleue.com](http://www.laminebleue.com)
