5 hectares (preview) – Emilie Deleuze / Festival Close-Up
Meeting with Emilie Deleuze
What leads an established man to endanger his comfort, his career and his couple? Passion, all the more burning as it is late, for five hectares of Limousin land. But the land is worth it, especially when you come from the city. This is Frank rushing into the Grail. He needs a tractor.
Emilie Deleuze directed her first short film, “A Weak Man”, in 1984. She then studied at the Fémis, in the production department. She made a name for herself in 1994 when she directed for TV "L'Incruste" with Claire Keim and Benoît Magimel. In 1999, his first feature film, 'Peau neuve', starring Samuel Le Bihan, and Marcial Di Fonzo Bo, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Un certain Regard section, where he won the Fipresci International Critics Award. His second film “Mister V” was selected at the Locarno Film Festival in 2003. This was followed by two TV films for Arte, “Two is Easier” and “Anything is Allowed” and then the comedy “Never Content” (2016), which received a special mention at the Berlin Film Festival.
