Guided tour of the iron appearance(mine) in nuclear power

Go off to explore the industrial past of the site FLAMANVILLE EDF, an old(former) iron appearance(mine) was exploited(run) until 1962.

Accompanied with a member(limb) of the association " Mines et carrières " of Flamanville, you will have the possibility of reliving the history(story) of the industrial site of the city.
The circuit of visit will begin in the centre of information of public (CIP) with a projection of a video redrawing the history(story) of the underwater iron appearance(mine) of Flamanville. Then, you will be invited to participate in a simulation of piloting of a nuclear power plant, in a precise retort(replica) of a control room.
A visit by bus will make you discover all the places witnesses(batons) of the mining past of Flamanville such as the pier of Dielette, the city(estate) Saint Barbara(Powder magazine) or else the house of the foremen.
The circuit will end by the visit of the museum of the appearance(mine) of the city.
Four crenels(niches) on registrations(inscriptions) are proposed during the weekend of European Heritage Days.
These visits are free and will give access to the museum " Mines et carrières " of Flamanville.

The nuclear power plant of Flamanville is one of 19 production sites of nuclear electricity EDF. The site counts two reactors which produce about 4 % French electricities. FLAMANVILLE EDF it is also the construction of EPR FLAMANVILLE 3, only nuclear power plant currently under construction in France.
