The first mention of the church dates from 1043\. It will be rebuilt in the 14th century to be completed in 1411\. Its reconstruction was undertaken in the 18th century on the plans of Master Laurens, engineer, and Master Pierre Figeac, architect. The first stone was laid in 1734 and construction ended in 1769\. The building has a single nave with five bays, flanked by chapels, of which the first two, deeper and wider, serve as transepts and chevets with five sides. The whole is covered with vaults on ribbed arches. At the bottom of the nave is the Rosary chapel, built at the end of the 17th century. It is a square chapel covered with a lantern dome and semicircular apse. This chapel is backed by the square bell tower whose base is occupied by the chapel of Christ.
