Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes entdecken Sie die Kirche Saint-Jean-Baptiste und die Geschichte ihres Viertels im Herzen der Bastide de Libourne.
Die im 14. Jahrhundert erbaute Kirche wurde zwischen 1835 und 1855 in einem neugotischen Stil grundlegend umgebaut, was ihr heute eine monumentale Silhouette verleiht. Dieser Rundgang beleuchtet die wichtigsten Etappen der Neugestaltung des Place Saint-Jean und die aufeinanderfolgenden Umbauten des Gebäudes, vom Mittelalter bis zu den jüngsten Restaurierungsarbeiten.
Höhepunkt der Besichtigung: die außergewöhnliche Erhebung des Glockenturms. Der 72,5 Meter hohe St. John’s Spire wurde kürzlich nach der Entdeckung struktureller Schwächen, die seine Stabilität bedrohen, umfassend restauriert. Seine Wiederbelebung, unterstützt vom Staat, der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine, der Stiftung Patrimoine und dem Verein der Freunde von Saint-Jean-Baptiste, stellt eine der großen jüngsten Bauprojekte in Libourne dar.
Eine seltene Gelegenheit, dieses ikonische Denkmal bis zum Gipfel zu entdecken.

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, discover the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste and the history of its district, in the heart of the bastide of Libourne.
Built in the 14th century, the church was thoroughly rebuilt between 1835 and 1855 in a neo-Gothic style that today gives it its monumental silhouette. This visit will focus on the major stages of the development of the Place Saint-Jean and on the successive transformations of the building, from the Middle Ages to the recent restoration works.
Highlight of the visit: the exceptional ascent of the bell tower. At 72.5 meters high, the spire of Saint-Jean has recently undergone major restoration work, after the discovery of structural weaknesses threatening its stability. Its reassembly, supported by the State, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, the Heritage Foundation and the association of the Friends of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, is one of the major recent heritage projects in Libourne.
A rare opportunity to discover this emblematic monument up to its summit.

In occasione delle Giornate europee del patrimonio, partite alla scoperta della chiesa di Saint-Jean-Baptiste e della storia del suo quartiere, nel cuore della bastide di Libourne.
Edificata nel XIV secolo, la chiesa fu profondamente ricostruita tra il 1835 e il 1855 in stile neogotico che le conferisce oggi la sua sagoma monumentale. Questa visita ripercorre le grandi tappe della sistemazione di Place Saint-Jean e delle successive trasformazioni dell'edificio, dal Medioevo ai recenti lavori di restauro.
Punto culminante della visita: l'eccezionale salita del campanile. Alta 72,5 metri, la guglia di Saint-Jean è stata recentemente oggetto di un importante lavoro di restauro, dopo la scoperta di fragilità strutturali che minacciano la sua stabilità. Il suo rilancio, sostenuto dallo Stato, dalla Regione Nuova-Aquitania, dalla Fondazione del patrimonio e dall'associazione degli Amici di Saint-Jean-Baptiste, costituisce uno dei grandi cantieri patrimoniali recenti di Libourne.
Un'occasione rara per scoprire questo monumento emblematico fino alla sua cima.

À l’occasion des Journées européennes du patrimoine, partez à la découverte de l’église Saint-Jean-Baptiste et de l’histoire de son quartier, au cœur de la bastide de Libourne.
Édifiée au XIVe siècle, l’église a été profondément reconstruite entre 1835 et 1855 dans un style néogothique qui lui confère aujourd’hui sa silhouette monumentale. Cette visite reviendra sur les grandes étapes de l’aménagement de la place Saint-Jean et sur les transformations successives de l’édifice, du Moyen Âge aux récents travaux de restauration.
Point culminant de la visite : l’ascension exceptionnelle du clocher. Haute de 72,5 mètres, la flèche de Saint-Jean a récemment fait l’objet d’un important chantier de restauration, après la découverte de fragilités structurelles menaçant sa stabilité. Son remontage, soutenu par l’État, la Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, la Fondation du patrimoine et l’association des Amis de Saint-Jean-Baptiste, constitue l’un des grands chantiers patrimoniaux récents de Libourne.
Une occasion rare de découvrir ce monument emblématique jusqu’à son sommet.

Con ocasión de las Jornadas europeas del patrimonio, descubra la iglesia de Saint-Jean-Baptiste y la historia de su barrio, en el corazón de la bastida de Libourne.
Construida en el siglo XIV, la iglesia fue profundamente reconstruida entre 1835 y 1855 en un estilo neogótico que le confiere hoy su silueta monumental. Esta visita se centrará en las grandes etapas del acondicionamiento de la plaza Saint-Jean y en las transformaciones sucesivas del edificio, desde la Edad Media hasta los recientes trabajos de restauración.
Punto culminante de la visita: la excepcional ascensión del campanario. De 72,5 metros de altura, la flecha de Saint-Jean ha sido recientemente objeto de una importante obra de restauración, tras el descubrimiento de fragilidades estructurales que amenazan su estabilidad. Su reconstrucción, apoyada por el Estado, la Región de Nueva Aquitania, la Fundación del Patrimonio y la asociación de los Amigos de Saint-Jean-Baptiste, constituye uno de los grandes proyectos patrimoniales recientes de Libourne.
