Replacing a church dating from the first half of the 18th century, the Saint-Julien church was built from 1924 to 1933 by the Parisian architect Albert Guilbert. The structural work, in reinforced concrete with filling in sandstone blocks from the demolition of the old church, was carried out by the company Fabre. The interior decoration is the work of Jean Gaudin. The organ was installed by organ builder Gloton, from Nantes, in 1931.
