Stefan Shanklands Arbeit ist von den natürlichen und menschlichen Transformationsprozessen inspiriert, die das Territorium formen. Flossile ist eine horizontale Skulptur, die für den Parc de Billancourt entworfen wurde und mehr als 25 Tonnen Schutt enthält, die auf den Abbruch- und Baustellen gesammelt wurden, die das Viertel neu gestalten. Stefan Shankland’s work is inspired by the natural and human transformation processes that shape the territory. Flossile is a horizontal sculpture designed for Billancourt park with more than 25 tons of rubble recovered from the demolition and construction sites that are redrawing the neighborhood. Flossile est une sculpture horizontale conçue pour parc de Billancourt avec plus de 25 tonnes de gravats récupérés sur les chantiers de démolition et de construction qui redessinent le quartier. Au sol, l’image minérale produite évoque tour à tour les flux et méandres d’un fleuve, des strates géologiques ou les traces de l’industrie automobile qui ont traversé et façonné Boulogne-Billancourt au cours du XXe siècle.
