On the occasion of the 43rd edition of the European Heritage Days, discover at the Hôtel de la Marine the exhibition Animalia. Bestiary of the Al Thani Collection, free entry subject to availability.
The Al Thani Collection at the Hôtel de la Marine offers an exhibition that examines how, at different times and in various parts of the world, cultures were fascinated by the animal kingdom and drew inspiration from it.
Through more than 120 works from the Al Thani Collection, many of which are unveiled in Paris for the first time, the exhibition explores representations of real and imaginary creatures from civilizations on four continents during the 3rd millennium BC.C. at the beginning of the 20th century.
In parallel, the public will be able to take advantage of this weekend to admire Astre Mobile, an artwork presented as part of the Paris Design Week festival.
Astre Mobile, designed by the studio Maison Lacmé, is a transparent car transformed into a work of art, between craftsmanship, material and imagination.
