Come listen to music and songs from 6pm, enjoy the fire show by the company Ekit Action at nightfall, then discover the glowing iron magnifying glass coming out in the night.

The Neuves-Maisons mine is an iron ore mine, a symbol of the development of the Nancy basin in the 19th century. It is one of the mines that provided the iron for the Eiffel Tower, notably.
It was operated from 1874 to 1968\. Nicknamed «the underground city», it housed a real community of workers from many different trades: miners, railway track setters, station masters, electricians, and many others. The iron used for the construction of the Eiffel Tower comes largely from Lorraine, notably from the sites of Ludres, Messein, Neuves-Maisons, Chavigny, Houdemont and Vandœuvre. This historical link makes the Neuves-Maisons mine a true reference for the people of Lorraine, and a strong symbol of the history of steelmaking and minette mining in the Nancy basin.
The mine was founded in 1874 by Victor de Lespinats, a young engineer who graduated from the School of Mines in Paris, where he distinguished himself by finishing second in his class. Visionary, he is at the origin of the steel boom
