In 1564, Reims welcomes, rue du Barbâtre, the first seminary of France, place of formation of priests since the Council of Trent.
Regularly transformed, the premises are rebuilt by the architect Émile Dufay-Lamy from 1924: around a vast cloister are organized rooms, classrooms and a chapel decorated with stained glass windows made by Jacques Simon.
In 1994, the seminary was reorganized to accommodate the "Maison Saint-Sixte", bringing together diocesan services, associations, as well as radio studios.
Since September 2021, the site hosts the Reims campus of the Institut Catholique de Paris.
