Während einer zweistündigen Führung wird Ihnen ein Führer die Geschichte der Bahnhöfe von Pithiviers und Beaune-la-Rolande während des Zweiten Weltkriegs und ihre Rolle bei der Deportation von etwa 8100 Juden aus Frankreich vorstellen. Anhand von Archivbildern wird er Ihnen erzählen, wie die Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Vichy-Regime und Nazi-Deutschland die Verhaftung, Internierung und anschließende Deportation jüdischer Männer, Frauen und Kinder in Konzentrationslager und Todeszentren in Osteuropa ermöglichte. Ein Eintauchen in die lokale und europäische Geschichte, um zu verstehen, wie der Völkermord an den Juden gedacht und organisiert wurde.
