Die Studenten der Staatlichen Hochschule für Architektur werden die Besucher bei einer Entdeckung der Schule empfangen und leiten, einem Ort des Lernens und der Herstellung von Architektur, alter Kleewirtschaft, mit Blick auf den Place Jacquard im Herzen der Stadt, erbaut zwischen 1857 und 1864.
Der Besuch endet mit der Entdeckung der Ausstellung. 18 Visionen für den Beaubourg-Wettbewerb.
Durch eine Auswahl von Archivdokumenten und analytischen Modellen, die im Rahmen eines experimentellen pädagogischen Projekts an der ENSASE erstellt wurden, bietet die Ausstellung eine Rückbesinnung auf den Beaubourg-Wettbewerb, einen Ideenwettbewerb, der 1971 vom französischen Staatspräsidenten Georges Pompidou gefördert wurde. Sie untersucht die Merkmale, die es zu einem Ereignis machen, das in der jüngeren Geschichte der französischen Architektur seinesgleichen sucht, und hebt achtzehn teilnehmende Projekte hervor, die sowohl unter den prämierten als auch unter den bisher nicht berücksichtigten Vorschlägen verkörpern ebenso viele architektonische Strömungen, die dazu beigetragen haben, die Vorstellungskraft der Architekturdisziplin zu formen.

The students of the National School of Architecture will welcome and guide visitors in a discovery of the School, a place of learning and manufacturing of architecture, former ribbonery, overlooking the Jacquard Square, in the heart of the city, built between 1857 and 1864.
The visit will end with the discovery of the exhibition 18 visions for the Beaubourg competition.
Through a selection of archival documents and analytical models made as part of an experimental educational project conducted at ENSASE, the exhibition proposes to revisit the Beaubourg competition, an ideas contest promoted by the President of the Republic Georges Pompidou in 1971. It examines the characteristics that make it an event without equivalent in the recent history of French architecture and highlights eighteen participating projects which, among the winning proposals as well as among those left unfollowed, embody so many architectural currents that have helped shape the imagination of the discipline of architecture.

Les étudiant·es de l’école nationale supérieure d’architecture accueilleront et guideront les visiteurs dans une découverte de l'École, lieu d’apprentissage et de fabrication de l’architecture, ancienne rubanerie, donnant sur la place Jacquard, en cœur de la ville, construite entre 1857 et 1864.
La visite s'achèvera par la découverte de l'exposition 18 visions pour le concours Beaubourg.
À travers une sélection de documents d’archives et de maquettes analytiques réalisés dans le cadre d’un projet pédagogique expérimental conduit à l’ENSASE, l'exposition propose de revenir sur le concours Beaubourg, concours d’idées promu par le président de la République Georges Pompidou en 1971. Elle en examine les caractéristiques qui en font un événement sans équivalent dans l’histoire récente de l’architecture française et met en lumière dix-huit projets participants qui, parmi les propositions lauréates comme parmi celles restées sans suite, incarnent autant de courants architecturaux ayant contribué à façonner l’imaginaire de la discipline de l’architecture.

Installed(Settled) since its creation (1971) in old(former) rubanerie, giving Jacquard on the place(square), the graduate school of architecture of Saint-Étienne is directly confronted to social and urban life. This trader's building was a textile recipe(takings) which belonged to the family Louison. This factory fabricated 35 nuances of ribbon(tape) of black silk. The construction of the building is between 1857 and 1864\. The architect stéphanois Francisc Dodat is the author of the extra height of last level in 1910 and of enlargement on the court(yard), road side of the Corner(Place). This period corresponds at the time when the company installed(settled) machine-wovens and electrical devices. The city acquired(bought back) the primitive(initial) building in 1971 to instal(settle) the school of local architecture there transformed by decree into Pedagogic Unity(Unit) of Architecture on July 24th, 1972 then into School of Architecture in 1984
