The Municipal Archives are an indispensable place for those who want to discover or deepen the history of the City of Remiremont. In charge of the collection, classification and conservation of documents produced and received by the town hall since the 13th century, the service allows the public to have access to these documents, directly on site, in the reading room, or through exhibitions and animations. In addition to the city archives, the department has a particularly rich study and conservation library, consisting of an ancient collection, mainly from revolutionary seizures, and a large local history collection.
