The castle of Gisors is an example of the military architecture of Normandy. Surrounded with a 3 hectare park, the donjon is built on a feudal clod, one of the rare examples of this type still kept(preserved) in France. The fortress surrounded with ramparts defended(forbidden) by tours(towers,ballots), a barbican and a boulevard of artillery, illustrates the evolution with castrale architecture the from XIIth century till XVIth century.
