He certainly subdued them, but by creating a real small town in the city to which he gives his name: Adamville. At the end of the 19th century, this central district hosted the City Hall of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. The walk proposed by the CAUE will allow you to (re)discover an old building typical of a city center with the avenue Charles-de-Gaulle, but also the elegant brick houses of the place du Maréchal Juin, the Art Nouveau building on Avenue Carnot or the very original Art Deco house on Rue Rouget-de-l'Isle for example. A very lively neighborhood!
