The exploitation of lime in the Defens massif
The exploitation of limestone marl and gypsum quarries and the production of lime, proven in the massif since the middle of the sixteenth century, continued until the end of the nineteenth century. The process will be evoked by bringing together the steps of the visible remains of the 2 ovens, that of Torrente and that of Capelude with its original pier.
Baumelles Coastal Battery
The history of the Baumelles coastal battery, built between 1695 and 1696 by order of Tourville, will be evoked by browsing the remains of the buildings with, in particular, the improvements of the eighteenth century until the installation of a bunker by the German army
