About the location

La FabricA
11 rue Paul Achard 84000 Avignon
  • Vaucluse
  • Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
Composed of a room with the dimensions of the stage of the Courtyard of Honour, of eighteen dwellings and two adjoining technical spaces, this theatrical «factory» makes it possible to accommodate in residence, throughout the year, artistic teams working to prepare their next creation for the Festival d'Avignon. This regular presence of artists in the Avignon area allows the Festival to intensify the work of raising awareness of the live performance it brings to all audiences. In July, the FabricA changes its function to become one of the Festival’s unmissable performance spaces. A six-hundred-seat covered theatre with a large and high-pitched stage, it offers the opportunity to present major productions with significant scenographic and technological needs.
Whether it is for artists welcomed in a creative residency or for the public, La FabricA is a building fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
