In 1962, 25 families of Harkis à Ongles
The House of History and Memory of Nails offers an exhibition composed of texts, objects, images and video testimonies that retraces the reception of 25 families of harkis in 1962, then the installation in the village in 1966 of a Vocational Education and Pre-training Centre for the sons of harkis aged 12 to 18. The floor dedicated to this period gives pride of place to the cultural and sports activities offered to these young people.
From the MHeMO, we can join on foot the remains of the forestage hamlet and the CEPP to find the soul of this abandoned place, but alive of the testimonies left.
Visit of the marked and arranged site of the old village also possible on foot from the MHeMO.
