Sandrine Duval
café-archéo in the Henri Rolland reception pavilion, with Sandrine Duval, archaeologist. On the occasion of the release of his book "A cup for Gyptis", Sandrine Duval will present the latest results of his research and propose a session of dialogue and dedication. You can discover some original watercolors. Combining poetry and archaeological research, "A cup for Gyptis" retraces the path of a vase made in Greece. From the Ionian coast to the Gulf of SaintBlaise, this small bowl beautifully decorated with a bird motif tells us the story of cultural exchanges around the wine trade as well as the meeting between the Gauls and the peoples who traveled the Mediterranean at the time of the founding of Marseille, in 600 BC.
