The castle of Jumellière entirely, with its internal decorations(sets) of woodworks, stables, the detached house(flag) of the gardener and the whole closed park of walls with its railings(bars), were registered in conformance with(for) historic monuments on June 16th, 2014\. Jumellière comes from the meeting of two dynasties: that of a famous Parisian architect, Henry relative, who collects the favours of the royalist party and becomes the architect of the «noble suburb» (Saint German); and that of pleasure dukes, represented by Armand-Urbain, count of Gauze, 4th pleasure duke, chairman of the General Council and senator of the Maine-et-Loire. This eclectic building, in brick and stone, is raised(brought up) between 1858 and 1862 and inaugurated in 1866, under the Second Empire, while the agency of Ernest Sanson brings to it an extension by 1874.
Jumellière is before any a castle of family, the evidence surprising lifestyle and uses(practices) of the aristocratic company(society) in the XIXth century, changed in depth after the World War I in its fortunes and its symbols: everything or almost was kept(preserved), of common(shared) locating in the basement, up to the rooms(chambers) of the servants under attic, via(including) the hall, with its big(great) staircase with screw suspended(hung up) there, as well as lounges(shows) neo-Louis XVI and the salle-à-manger neo-louis XIV. Dependences(Outbuildings) and English-style park, crashed in 1867, are also protected.
