The menhir of the Crulière is a megalith classified "historical monument" on February 18, 1934. It is also called «the Devil’s Stone». Dating from the Neolithic era, it testifies to the human occupation, from prehistoric times, on the coast. Of pyramidal shape, is essentially composed of white quartz. It is about 2.30m high, 1.15m thick with a wide base of about 2.25m and weighs over 8 tons.
According to one of the legends, a 15-year-old fat boy and his cow, having given themselves to the devil, were crushed under this huge block, thrown by the arm of Satan.
