Musée de La Roche-sur-Yon - Espace Malraux: art museum of the city. Pending the opening of the new museum in the premises of the former conservatory (Place Napoléon), scheduled for 2028, the City of La Roche-sur-Yon decided to establish its municipal museum in the former Malraux school.
Through this project, several objectives are emerging:
Maintain the link with the Yonnais. Enhance the museum’s collections through a permanent route and temporary exhibitions. Continue the educational action in a place dedicated, lively, warm and accessible to all. Three rooms, a gallery and a mezzanine house permanent collections. They highlight the important collections of the municipal museum represented by artists Benjamin Rabier and Paul Baudry. An additional room is dedicated to temporary exhibitions.
Inspired by the primary vocation of the place (the school), the new municipal museum puts at the heart of its cultural project the pedagogy and the reception of the young public through dedicated sp
