Visiting the Science Manor and Exhibits
A physicist and naturalist, René-Antoine Ferchault de Réaumur (1683–1757) remained at the head of the Académie royale des sciences in Paris for 40 years. Labeled by the Ministry of Culture "Maison des illustres", in memory of Réaumur, the manor is the family home in which he liked to recharge for his outdoor observations and naturalistic experiences ... At a time when science and technology are advancing tremendously, he is passionate about botany, zoology, entomology, chemistry, microbiology, genetics, metallurgy, technology and mechanics, taxidermy, geology, mineralogy…
At the Science Mansion, visitors are not just spectators. Through an interactive and sensory visit to the Réaumur’s home and gardens, we observe for ourselves and conduct our own experiences. Whether you are passionate about science, fond of this period so rich in the Enlightenment, or simply curious, the manor allows you to deepen and share knowledge.
Be curious!
