On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the Léo Lagrange Nantes Aviron Club will open its doors to the public on Saturday, September 16, from 10am to 4pm to share its history and heritage.
Founded in 1973 by Henri Grassi and Marcel Vandernotte, Léo Lagrange Nantes Aviron (CLLNA) is a club open to all, bringing together all the practices of rowing in leisure or competition.
It is now located at the edge of the Erdre, on the nautical base of the Eraudière where the club moved in 1986. Three mosaic columns, created by artist Pierre Perron, stand in front of the pontoon from which the boats launch. Going up the Erdre, the training pool of the club’s rowers is bordered by many manors, parks and castles, on "the most beautiful river in France" according to François 1st.
Come and discover the history and infrastructures of this club, a veritable bastion of Nantes rowing!
