Its creation dates back to the year 1778. Its particularity is its wooded decoration, which is characteristic of the «French» gardens.
A central cross around which were created 4 squares of equal size delimited by boxwood hedges and decorated with yew carved in ball. All the plants composing this decoration date from creation.
Traffic lanes are grassed.
200 hours each year is the estimated time for the maintenance work performed by the municipal staff.
There lies a great Chouan chief Marin GAULLIER known as Grand Pierre who died in 1817.
Some funerary monuments remain and are of some architectural interest.
This place of recollection is very appreciated by the inhabitants of the commune and receives the visit of many external visitors.
A famous Parisian actor is buried in this cemetery.
In the interest of the conservation of these places, it was requested to be included in the inventory of monuments and historical sites.
The cemetery has been classified since 27 December 2005 by order of the Prefecture of the Pays de la Loire Region.
Located near the second entrance, the Oratory Notre Dame de la Pitié built in 1810 was restored by a communal employee.

Cemetery, blest by the bishop of Le Mans by 1780, presenting a quadrilateral divided into four squares in the brought(shot) down angles lined with hedges(hurdles) of boxwood, themselves divided by paths into crosses marked by cut yews. A small oratory was built in 1810 in the southwest angle.
